Sunflower Bakery Sweets of the Month

Netivot Shalom is the only Baltimore drop off location for Sunflower Bakery's Sweets of the Month Club! Sign up for a 9- or 10-month subsciption to get a delivery of delicious (and often holiday-themed) baked goods conveniently delivered to our shul! Additionally, this partnership will serve as a fundraiser for Netivot, with the shul getting a percentage of every subscription.

Sunflower Bakery is a kosher bakery in Gaithersburg that employs people with cognitive and developmental disabilities (and makes really delicious baked goods). Kosher supervision is under the Va’ad Ha Rabanim of Greater Washington and all products are parve, pas Yisroel and yoshon. Basically, once a month from September through June, you'll get a delivery of delicious (and often holiday-themed) baked goods conveniently delivered to our shul!

You can see each month's offering and sign up by going to https://sunflowerbakeryorg.ipage.com/orders/sotmc.php and picking Netivot on the dropdown for delivery location. You need to sign up by September 5th for the full 10 month subscription, and by September 30 for the 9-month subscription.

Chanukah Party

There will be a festive pizza dinner, games, craft projects, dreidel tournaments for both kids and adults, a communal candle lighting and words of Torah!

The cost is $10 per adult and $5 per child with $30 max per family.

Note: For the communal candle lighting, please bring eight candles and one chanukiah per family.

Shabbat Chol haMoed Sukkot Lunch

Please join us for a festive lunch in the Netivot Sukkah on Shabbat Chol haMoed Sukkot (October 3). Celebrate together with friends while enjoying delicious food, singing, and a good time. The children's Sukkah hop will leave from the shul at the conclusion of lunch. The cost is $20/adult and $10/child with a maximum of $55 per family. Please submit payment via the shul website or by leaving a check in the shul mailbox.

Young Professioals Pottery Painting in the Sukkah

Please join us for Young Professionals Pottery Painting in the Sukkah on Wednesday September 30 at 8:00pm. Paint pottery while enjoying wine, cheese and light snacks in the warmth of the shul's sukkah. The cost is $25 which includes wine, food, pottery and paint. Netivot Shalom Meeting on Proposed Rabbi

The Netivot Shalom Board recommends that we hire Rabbi Elliot Kaplowitz as our interim Rabbi beginning July 1.

A special congregation meeting will be held on Wednesday night June 24th at 7:30 p.m. to discuss this proposal. We ask all to attend, but voting is limited to paid-up Full Members.

An absentee ballot is available. If you will be unable to attend, please complete the ballot and send it to Judy Floam or put it into the shul mailbox prior to the Wednesday meeting.
